The Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) works to advance medical research in the UK and, in particular, aims to improve the effectiveness of the charitable sector in medical reserach.  There are over 100 member charities within the Association: In 2002/2003 their combined expenditure on biomedical research in the UK was over £660 million.  AMRC provides information, advice and guidance to medical research charities and information and data on the activities of the charity sector in medical research to government, the media and decision formers, as well as the general public.

The NLH Skin Conditions Specialist Library is a searchable internet database of electronic information resources on skin conditions and their treatment, catalogued by topic and resource type. Although it is primarily intended for NHS professionals, the Library is also open to patients and anyone else who wants to learn more about the subjects covered.

Skinship ( UK ) operates a strictly confidential, general dermatology helpline during normal office hours, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, with an answerphone at all other times. We aim to offer information and/or support to anyone who has any kind of skin problem, including all types of skin cancer. We are stakeholders with the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) in the field of skin cancers and are members of the Telephone Helplines Association.
